Danny and Nina are on a mission to visit all 58 National Parks! We started earlier this year and have already visited a few. The first park we went to was Rocky Mountain in Colorado. Park two was Yosemite in California. Park three was the Everlades in Florida. And here is Arches National Park four in Utah!

We started off the day with some breakfast burritos and Rick found some artillery.

Boys will be boys and climb anything possible. Here is a part of the mountain by the river where you can get 20 or 30 feet up by following through a crack which leads you to a panoramic platform.

There was a Jeep rally going on in town, with a few events being not official. Potato Salad hill was one of those places where anyone with a truck could try their luck on this steep obstacle. Most cars made it, with a lot taking their time and spitting out lots of smoke and debris onto the crowd. And one even rolled as you’ll see later.

The wheel of this truck got broken the previous day on this obstacle.

The guy in the red truck is kind of like the unofficial old wise man of the rally. Everyone knew him and he’s obviously had lots of experience — which he showed off by swiftly maneuvering the hill. At no point did his wheels ever even stick.

This daredevil tried to make it up on his motorcycle! He got up most of the way, but got stuck at the last steep little bit of incline.

I think the crowd was more into the trucks that had some difficulty going up as opposed to all the super rigged out vehicles that could go back and forth every which way with no trouble.

An almost roll over.

A bona fide roll over.

We got a lift back to our car from one of the trucks that made it up which was really fun after watching them.

Danny does his best Sid Vicious impression.

The following day was all about Arches National Park, a gorgeous and surreal piece of land! If you’re ever seen the Wiley Cayoty cartoon, this is probably what they based the imagery on.

Trail markers.

A view of the Delicate Arch through another window opening.

It’s a long way down!

This next image is not photoshopped. Danny leaps to even greater heights and Jim just looks cool.

Some kind of desert spinach we overheard German tourists talking about.

Next time take me with you!
I love this! Ryan and I have been trying to visit all the National Parks, too, but your photo documentation is way cooler. I’m so excited to find out more about you so I can continue being inspired.
