Sometimes, when you meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you know immediately that you’ve found the one. But other times, it takes a little bit more time. And other times, you have to move away and run into an old friend at a bar to know that you met your person a long time ago. That’s exactly how things worked out for Katie & Zach, and we’re so glad they finally started their lives together. In the end, it doesn’t matter how long it takes, as long as love finds you and the two of you end up together!
When Katie Met Zach…
Katie & Zach first met when they were both living in Vail, Colorado. They were immediately friends, but nothing more. It wasn’t until Katie moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, that their friendship grew to be something more. Katie moved to Michigan to get her masters degree, and coincidentally her school was located in Grand Rapids, Zach’s hometown. As luck would have it, while Zach was on a trip home to visit family he ran into Katie at a local bar. That was all it took for their friendship to blossom into something more, and six years later the couple was engaged!
When it came time for the couple to plan their wedding there was no question that the wedding had to take place in Colorado. They chose City Park, in Denver, Colorado, the perfect place for the couple to commemorate their mutual love for the state. The ceremony took place outdoors, and despite the onset of fall, the couple was able to soak up the last of the summer sunshine and enjoy the green foliage of the park.
For the reception guests moved to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The rooftop of the museum offered stunning views of both downtown, and the Rocky Mountains. There was no better place for the couple to celebrate their love for Colorado, and more importantly their love for each other.
We couldn’t be happier for them. Congratulations Katie & Zach!
