When we teamed up with Kaeli and Sam for the engagement photos at Cheese Importers and Scrumptious in Longmont, we knew their wedding was going to be a very sweet occasion!
The Perfect Day
How they met
Kaeli:
We met while I was babysitting for a neighbor. Sam knocked on the door to pick up his mail because he used to live there. I invited him in and quickly texted my friend who I was supposed to meet that I would be late because a handsome man literally just walked through my front door. After we met, it turns out that our family members knew each other and we both used them to set up a casual date (with my mom and Sam’s uncle as wingmen). Our first date was going to a KISSm (a KISS tribute band, yes it’s a bunch of dads in makeup and high heels) and then was when he finally asked for my number!
The Ceremony
How he proposed:
Kaeli:
The proposal happened while we were in Ireland to run Sam’s first half marathon. After the race, we spent four days driving around southern Ireland. A few nights in we stayed at an extremely nice castle hotel, Dromoland Castle. After a fancy dinner, we walked outside and Sam went down on one knee. It was just us and I was completely surprised. I had no idea it was going to happen but apparently I was the last person to know! All of my friends and family had kept the secret for several weeks. I said yes, and now we’re here 🙂
All of the LOVE
Yes Please!
Our best friend
We can’t forget their perfect little ring bearer!
It’s all in the details
They couldn’t have pulled off their perfect wedding without a ton of help from their families! The ceremony space bosted hand-cut and assembled tree stumps and forest decor, as did all of the tables at the reception. The woodland themed wedding was on point with handmade decor & lots of little mushrooms. Complete with mushroom cupcakes!
And the food… 🙂
There were several food stations that their families designed, assembled, and cooked for as well! This is where is important to know that Kaeli’s dad is a chef and her family owns their own restaurant! How amazing is that! Each food station was a different theme based on different things they had done together. One for germany, one for the cheese shop where we did engagement photos, one for Japan and one for thailand I think. There was also a Harry Potter dessert station with butterbeer floats! (They were really good.)
A new beginning
Sam’s sister sang them a song as part of her toast and they had a sparkler exit that was just perfect! Then to end their wedding in perfection, they headed off to Disney World! Sending all of the love to Kaeli and Sam, we were honored to be a part of your wedding!
