There are many things to do here, like going to a restaurant or even grabbing a seat to watch random street performers. We even would like to encourage you to grab a cup of gelato or a drink, too! As the first-ever paved road in Boulder, this has always been the main thoroughfare of downtown commerce. In 1976, the Pearl Street Mall was officially opened after years of planning, building, and preserving historic architecture along this pedestrian promenade.

Within this four-block pedestrian mall that stretches from 11th street to 15th street is filled with public art. This includes numerous fountains and sculptures as well as a sandbox for children, a stylized map of Boulder County, and a number of small gardens that are planted with a variety of flowers and trees, most notably tulips in the spring. Which over 15,000 of them bloom in the spring! A must see obviously!
This location attracts a lot of locals, visitors, as well as students from the University of Colorado. Shopping in the mall can be an in-and-out adventure or an all-day affair, depending on your time constraints and goals. However, this does mean that there is nothing short of a list of things to do here in this tourist hotspot.
