Jacki and Justin were married on a gorgeous day at Willow Ridge Manor in early September. Their wedding date was total fate, as the venue had only one more spot open in 2017, September 3rd, which happened to be the exact one-year anniversary of their engagement! Their engagement was a complete surprise to Jacki, as the couple was set to move to California from Colorado in a few weeks.
Jacki & Justin’s Big Day Out
Justin had their building manager tell Jacki there was some “maintenance” that could only be done if the couple left their apartment. They then spent the day at all their favorite spots in Colorado, reminiscing about the life they had built here. They ate at their favorite restaurant, and practiced their tradition of getting ice cream and driving through Belcaro. Jacki hadn’t suspected a thing until they veered from their usual route. They found themselves on the pavilion and then suddenly Justin was on one knee! Of course, the rest is history.
The Wedding Theme
Justin and Jacki’s wedding was built around the concepts of simple, clean, and floral. Jacki said that if she had an unlimited budget, she would have flower walls and curtains galore! Instead her mom ordered and arranged all the flowers by hand, which made it that much more special. Additionally, the beauty of the venue took a lot of the work out of decorating. Not much can compete with the mountains!
A Bride’s Advice
Jacki’s advice to other couples planning is to, “remember…why this is all happening. Because two people want to join their lives together. Finding the love of your life is the hard part. People search their whole lives for something that you’ve already found.” She also notes to make sure couples check in with each other during the planning! It’s easy to get stressed and forget about how each other are feeling. Jacki made sure to plan a date-night once they were finished planning to celebrate all their hard-work.
We’d like to celebrate and congratulate Justin & Jacki on all their hard work as well! May their marriage be as beautiful as their wedding.
