On a radiant summer day, we went with the Winters Family to South Platte Park and Carson Nature Center. We love a good family photo shoot – especially when it involves a doggo and some cute kiddos! This park is perfect especially on a summer day, and we loved exploring this new location with the Winters for a beautiful summer session!
New Adventures
As adventure junkies who are always hungry for new inspiration, we enjoyed getting to know this family and this new location close to home! South Platte Park and Carson Nature Center is an 880-acre open space along the South Platte River in Littleton, Colorado. This place has got it all: hiking trails, walking trails, and a reservoir for all kinds of water activities like kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding!
Over the (South Platte) river and through the woods we chased light with Mom, Dad, their three boys, and their adorable 8-year-old bulldog, Sasha Grace. The three Winters boys looked like dapper young men in pastel-colored shirts and patterned neckties. Mom and Dad had outfits to match, and the whole crew looked as happy as spring itself! Really, you can do wonderful, creative things with lighting.
Check out what cool things Becky’s family did with fairy lighting – at night – here!
All Play and No Work
Of course, we wanted to capture this family’s quirks and qualities. The boys busted out the popular dance move known as the Floss Dance and worked their charm at every opportunity. The smiles and laughter weren’t just for the young ones, though. Dad is clearly loved by his boys and Mom and dog grinned wide smiles when the bulldog wanted a belly rub!
This park, we quickly learned, has everything to offer – even ideal photography landscapes! You can find secret thickets or wide-open ponds or great bridges to pose with. Winters family, thank you so much for sharing your love of life with us! You have a beautiful family!
