Choosing Your Senior Photo Nature Location

July 17, 2020 July 17, 2020 From the Hip Photo2478 views

With the Summer here and your soon-to-be Seniors gearing up for their last year, it’s time to start planning their senior photos! Colorado offers plenty of beautiful locations and it can often be overwhelming to choose the perfect spot. But don’t fret, we’re here to help with the process of choosing your senior photo nature location. Here are three fantastic locations for your senior portraits – Bluff Lake Nature Center, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, and Golden History Park/Clear Creek.

Bluff Lake Nature Center

Wanting a unique natural urban area with many trees, shrubs, and an open field? Bluff Lake Nature Center is the perfect location for you! It is over a mile loop around the open space. There are plenty of spots to get different scenic backdrops during your session! Bluff Lake is located in Stapleton, which is a neighborhood northeast of Downtown Denver.

Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre

One of the greatest music venues in the world is right here in Colorado! Yup, you guessed it, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Red Rocks gets its color from iron oxide, the same compound that gives blood and rust their ruddy appearance. This venue is located in Morrison, which is 15 miles southwest of Denver.

Golden History Park/Clear Creek

Golden History Park/Clear Creek is stunning and perfect for your senior photo nature location! Located 15 miles West of Denver, Golden is a former gold rush town at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Golden is famous for the Coors Brewery Company which was founded in 1873. During the summer this is a vibrant spot for kayakers, locals, and many others. The park used to be a schoolhouse and farm in the late 1800s. The buildings make a great backdrop to pose in front of!
