Back in February, we had the pleasure of visiting The Regional. The Regional is a LoHi restaurant that is famous for serving fantastic food sourced from local farms and ranches in Colorado. They also serve seafood sourced from various places in Massachusetts. This past spring they hosted a culinary event dedicated to the No Kid Hungry charity. Come check it out! The Regional Chef and owner Kevin Grossi opened The Regional back in the summer of 2016. He sought to recreate many classic American dishes from all over the country using locally sourced food. He focuses particularly on comfort food. As he describes in an article with Eater Denver, "We're not doing crazy things to our products," Grossi said, "we're bringing the down-home feeling down to Denver." However, after spending two years at their LoHi location in the Avanti F&B, The Regional will be moving to Fort Collins in the early fall. Grossi plans on deepening his regional dishes in the new location: “The Regional has always been about adding a local element to whatever food you consider ‘hometown’ cooking. That will never change. If anything, we’re just moving closer to where so much of it is already growing in our state.” Check out

However, today we bring you something particularly special-- a precious surprise proposal from our friend Scott to his now fiancé Katie! The proposal took place at Grand Lake and the wonderful autumn aesthetic provided an incredible backdrop for this special moment! Grand Lake Grand Lake, which is located about thirty miles north-west of Boulder, is known as the "Western Gateway" to the Rocky Mountain National Park -- and for a very good reason! It's absolutely gorgeous, especially around this time of year when the leaves begin to change color. The lake offers all sorts of activities to enjoy all year round. From backcountry skiing and snowmobiling in the winter, to hiking and kayaking in the summer, Grand Lake has a lot to offer! Have we mentioned how much we love RiNo? It's ecstatic; the colorful personality of RiNo adds so much character to our city -- and, of course, to our sessions! But honestly, we didn't need much help this time around since Hailey and Kevin's family brought plenty of personality to our session! Murals Something that RiNo is quite famous for is its abundance of painted murals. Being the primary 'arts district' of Denver means that this neighborhood is home to a lot of raw yet articulate energy. Congratulations, Anahita and Brandon! Not only are you engaged, but you successfully modeled in downtown Denver like pros. This charming couple asked us to photograph their quintessential Denver engagement photos, and of course we had to say “yes”!!! Love in the City We’ll take any opportunity to boast about and showcase our wonderful city and its attractions. If you’re looking for something modern and urban, but still wonderfully beautiful, Union Station and Millennium Bridge are two of Denver’s most popular sites. Anahita and Brandon not only looked urbanely chic, but they looked stunning against the bridge’s geometric structure and Union Station’s magical look. Fall is just around the corner, so to kick off the season of oranges and yellows and flannel outfits, we want to share Nicole and Carm's family photos at Red Rocks! What a joy it was to photograph this family of four in their most stylish outfits and fun personalities! A beloved and increasingly famous venue, Red Rocks is known for its concerts and impressive surround sound effects. However, it’s also known for its stunning rock faces and vistas that showcase both the Colorado landscape and the city of Denver. This place is close to our hearts because we’ve been here many times to snap occasions of every kind. No matter the circumstance or season, Red Rocks surely will not disappoint! A Fabulous Four With brunette hair and a burst of red, with golden fall leaves and dapper flannels that match, this family was a total joy to photograph! Nicole and Carm proudly held their two boys Griffin and Sawyer, who clearly already have a strong budding relationship. Nothing says joy like fresh air, toasted marshmallows, and the holiday season! With cozy clothes and some ready smiles, we went with Keith, Hawzien, and their two adorable sons for some family photos at Boulder Tree Farm! Naturally, we had that giddy feeling that comes with holiday cheer while we played hide and seek under the trees and afternoon sun. The Tree Farm Creekside Tree Nursery, or Boulder Tree Farm, provides dozens of trees and shrubs for home, business or custom landscaping projects. Of course, when we visited with Keith and Hawzien in early December, this place had its Christmas tree selection on full display! Trees of all shapes, sizes, and kinds made a spectacular pine maze and the most wonderfully scented air! We even experienced some déjà vu from Dana and Michelle’s tree farm proposal at this very location! Family Festivities As always, we made it our mission to capture the most beautiful moments with this sweet family of four. Each of them was absolutely rocking the patterned shirts and cozy button jackets. Now, you might think patterns on the whole family could look a little chaotic. However, this family matched impeccably with tones of blue, grey, and browns.
This family is truly living a life of color! Tonia, Sean and their four children invited us to photograph their vibrant RiNo family photos, so of course, we said yes! Denver’s RiNo Arts District proved the perfect spot for this family because it matched their bright personalities and expressive dispositions. Everything is a Canvas RiNo or River North, Arts District in north Denver is a neighborhood full of wall designs, artistic experimentation, and colorful flares. In addition to all the public art, the streets of this place have a blend of urban charm and unique industrial revival at work. We love photographing families, couples, and individuals here because the neighborhood’s personality often works well with the people themselves. Each wall tells a story and walking along alleyways and down corridors are like a fun game of hide-and-seek for the perfect photo backdrop! Engagement season is almost upon us, and what better way to celebrate than champagne on this cold January day at Clear Creek? It's always a pleasure for us to contribute to building long-lasting relationships -- so here's to you, Danielle & Eli! Clear Creek Clear Creek is a small brook that runs through Golden, CO that offers scenic richness and beauty to the surrounding areas. During the summer, people can come to the creek to fish, kayak, and even inner-tube in the creek's waters. The trail that runs along the creek also offers a great path for runners and bikers alike. During the winter months, Clear Creek county (which is a bit farther west from Denver) offers some great holiday events that can help you get into high winter spirits. The winter months in Colorado bring forth a great combination of sunlight and snow. The mountains near Golden provide some great background for our sessions. A cute new face has blessed Colorado, and we were so grateful to capture the newborn-cuteness of baby Kal in this cutely themed newborn photoset! A Family in Blue Newborn photo shoots are always heartwarming and special, and our session with Katie, Ryan, and Kal was no different! We could tell that Katie and Ryan were loving parents from the start because of the way Kal laid so calmly in their arms. However, you can also see this in their clothes! It is said that the color blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness, and what a fit for Kal's personality! It's a bird! No, it's a plane! No, wait -- it's Superman!
