Although wintertime is still a little ways away, it's already starting to get nice and snowy here in Colorado. In fact, the Rocky Mountain National Park has a bunch of snow already! Rocky Mountain National Park The Rocky Mountain National Park is one of our favorite places to shoot photos because it's just so damn beautiful! No matter the season, this park never fails to amaze us. Although this was taken only the second week of October, the whole park has turned into a winter wonderland. Encompassing about 415 square miles, the Rocky Mountain National Park spans the Continental Divide and its surrounding ecosystems and mountains. From camping, to fishing, to scenic drives, there really is no shortage of activities! It is also home to over 350 miles of walking and hiking trails. We might be a little biased, but we believe it's hard to beat Colorado in the summertime. We get low humidity, clear skies, and some of the most incredible views around. These qualities all make Colorado a dream wedding destination. And if you're going to get married in Colorado, why not go all out? That's exactly what Mikal and Andrew did in this mountaintop wedding shoot in Keystone! An Uplifting Experience Most people associate chairlifts with ski trips, not weddings. But Mikal and Andrew aren't like most people, and this isn't like most weddings! Besides, hiking in heels on your special day can be a real drag. The fun-loving couple decided to reach their mountaintop wedding shoot in style. If you ask us, it was worth it. Look at that view! Ages of Affection Having loved ones around is always nice, particularly on a day as important as your wedding. Mikal and Andrew were lucky enough to have generations of family both young and old in attendance to celebrate their devotion to each other. The end of high school can be a stressful time. Besides their normal schoolwork, students are applying to colleges and preparing to say goodbye to old friends. It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the sudden onset of adult responsibilities. But Felicia's outdoor senior photos showed us that senior year can be a time of celebration (and style!) Outdoors in Overalls Felicia came to her photo shoot with a variety of outfits that were both classy and comfortable. In a sturdy pair of light-wash overalls, Felicia ventured out into a creek. The results prove that gorgeous natural photos are what Colorado does best. She later switched into a pair of black jeans and a red shirt. This combination contrasted the shoot's background while showing off Felicia's sense of style. A cute, versatile olive green hat enhanced with both of these outfits. Summer Fashion and Sunflowers Felicia looked at home surrounded by nature. Colorado's beautiful mountains served as the perfect backdrop. With summer behind us, there is a lot to look forward to with the changing of the seasons. The color of the leaves will turn and we'll begin pulling out our sweaters as the temperature cools. It's a time to relax more and sweat less. While we're excited about Fall, there's much we'll miss about the summer. Today we're remembering one of our favorite summer memories. Holiday Fun | Family Photos at Boulder Tree Farm

Nothing says joy like fresh air, toasted marshmallows, and the holiday season! With cozy clothes and some ready smiles, we went with Keith, Hawzien, and their two adorable sons for some family photos at Boulder Tree Farm! Naturally, we had that giddy feeling that comes with holiday cheer while we played hide and seek under the trees and afternoon sun. The Tree Farm Creekside Tree Nursery, or Boulder Tree Farm, provides dozens of trees and shrubs for home, business or custom landscaping projects. Of course, when we visited with Keith and Hawzien in early December, this place had its Christmas tree selection on full display! Trees of all shapes, sizes, and kinds made a spectacular pine maze and the most wonderfully scented air! We even experienced some déjà vu from Dana and Michelle’s tree farm proposal at this very location! Family Festivities As always, we made it our mission to capture the most beautiful moments with this sweet family of four. Each of them was absolutely rocking the patterned shirts and cozy button jackets. Now, you might think patterns on the whole family could look a little chaotic. However, this family matched impeccably with tones of blue, grey, and browns.

With June comes vibrant colors and bursting blooms at every turn. With June comes summertime and brighter days. We thoroughly enjoyed shooting a Botanic family photo with the Spraco family at the Denver Botanic Gardens on a cheerful summer day! As you'd expect, this location is quite ideal for any photo shoot – especially one with an adorable family of three! A Year-Round Attraction! Located in the heart of Denver, the Denver Botanic Gardens is popular for its beautiful botanic displays, concerts, and event venue space. It is constantly changing its exhibitions and artwork, and it often has new events on the calendar open to the public! The Botanic Gardens even has winter light displays when vegetation is hibernating and Denverites are bundling up! Spraco Spunk There was no bundling up needed when we joined the Spraco family to take their pictures, though! These three had us gleefully dizzy with vibrant oranges, reds, and blues. Mom looked elegant in her flowing dress and heels. Dad and son looked dashingly handsome in their classy button shirts. Corianne, a beloved and past From the Hip studio manager, and her fiancée Kristopher invited us to photograph their engagement photos at Rocky Mountain National Park. Rocky Mountain Fever We love building relationships with every couple or family that we photograph, but it’s even more fun to capture the personalities and quirks of two good friends! These two artistic souls looked practically perfect against this national park’s mountainous vistas and shimmering lakes on a May day. Their love was more than obvious, and their appreciation of Colorado was clear, too! We may be biased since we are frequent visitors of Cherry Creek Reservoir, but this place really does have it all: waterfronts, country western wooden fences, fields of wildflowers, and dense forests. We've never seen engagement photos quite this blissfully sweet. Adeline and Josh celebrated their engagement among the the Colorado Rockies and a glistening Lake Dillon, and we have never swooned more. The couple was completely charming, silly and so playful. In every shot they gushed with love and celebrated with passion (and wine!) -- and we were thrilled to be a part of this Lake Dillon engagement! Colorado Roots! Just outside of Frisco, Colorado, this scenic location at the Lake Dillon Marina is not new to From the Hip Photo. Remember Brianna and Ben's engagement last year? We sure do! This nature location is jaw-dropping and eye-catching not just because it of its breathtaking magic. The place also holds a special place in this couple's heart since it displays the quintessential Colorado views they cherish. Josh proposed at the top of Booth Falls, another stunning hike a little too high up for this October photo shoot.
