Bijen and Nick tied the knot at the beautiful JW Marriott in Denver...
How can engagement photos get any sweeter? Kaeli and Sam sugar coated their engagement photos at Scrumptious, a local candy shop in Longmont, Colorado. After the sugar rush, we continued the fun at Cheese Importers, also located in Longmont. The locations were a perfect fit for the couple as the fun, authentic, and romantic sweet delicacies of the relationship are captured. A Sweet Story Coincidentally, the two met while Kaeli was babysitting for a neighbor. Sam just so happened to previously live in that same house where Kaeli was babysitting. Sam knocked on the front door to pick up old mail. As Kaeli opened the door she was in awe as the two locked eyes. Strangers face to face, but that first gaze was the spark of the luscious life that was promised ahead. It was destined to be as the two had family members that also knew each other. What a small world! Sam popped the question while on a romantic trip to Ireland showing us all that love at first sight is in fact real! Sweet & Savory Locations There are no boundaries when choosing locations to shoot your engagement photos. We love getting creative and finding new
Laura and Justin’s idyllic Blackstone Rivers Ranch wedding, just a stone’s throw from Downtown Denver, had all the elements of a magical wedding. An Idaho Springs, CO Wedding Shoot Idaho Springs, CO is a perfect stop off I-70. A walk around downtown shows many well-preserved historic buildings, as well as plenty of quality restaurants. In town, you can find the 125-year-old Argo Gold Mine and Mill and even try panning for gold! Not far from town, is a working mine, the Phoenix Gold Mine. There you can learn about modern and historical mining techniques. As with Argo, at Phoenix Gold Mine you can do a little gold panning yourself! Who doesn’t want someone to travel the world with? Lily and Jacob never shy away from a new adventure and exploring a new place! Always trying to climb the next mountain together. Love encourages us to reach new heights! That is why this beautiful couple hiking to the top of a snowy peak made these photos so much more special. It is a scene that showcases beauty almost as radiant as their love. In between Keystone and Breckenridge, CO sits a winter wonderland, Sapphire Point. With an elevation of 9,500 feet, this gorgeous overlook of Dillion Reservoir is the perfect spot for any thrill seeker. Lily’s velvet dress provided the perfect complement to the deep green of the trees and sparkling white of the snow. Sparks Fly Meeting in college at a Fourth of July party, these two are meant for an exploding love story! With sparks flying around them the night they met, it is clear why this session was electric. Who doesn't love a snow-covered mountain overlooking the Rockies as their backdrop for engagement photos? Monique and Brian loved it so much they hiked up Lost Gulch in the middle of winter! It was freezing cold but they didn't have a care in the world. Visiting from Atlanta, Georgia, these two made it look like they hiked Lost Gulch every weekend. From ATL to the Mile High City I am sure that Atlanta has plenty to offer, but nothing beats the Rockies mid-winter! With an endless range of peaks and valleys, you can never go wrong. Lost Gulch just so happens to be one of our favorite locations. Lost Gulch Overlook is nestled in Flagstaff Mountain which overlooks the nearby city of Boulder. The Boulder area is filled with fun and eclectic people, places, and things to do! From the awesome shops on Pearl street to the beautiful trails surrounding the city-- you can't go wrong! The only thing that could have made this day better would have been some cozy hot chocolate on the mountaintop! Let's Take a Trip to Colombia (it's warmer there!) It wouldn't be an engagement session without an engagement story! After knowing each other since middle
For centuries, we've been using the idiom "it fits like a glove" to describe well-fitting garments. But it's 2018 now, and we don't wear gloves all that often anymore. Frankly, we think it's about time for our entire outfits to start fitting well. Working in the photography industry, weddings and other formal events tend make up the bulk of our business. Because of this, we are especially appreciative of the work that Bespoke Edge does to help Colorado's men look their best. Bespoke Edge offers stylish, custom menswear for the modern man (or groom!) Keeping It Local While many similar menswear chains are massive, nationally-owned corporate entities, Bespoke Edge is a local business. It's even family owned! Ron Wagner and his sons, Brett and Ryan, are focused on providing custom menswear to Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins. When you shop at Bespoke Edge, you know you're dealing with a business that cares about more than your money. Special Day, Special Clothes Your wedding day is an unforgettable experience. It follows that you would want to look your absolute best, particularly if you've got a certain photography company in tow! With so much planning already being required to ensure your wedding
While traditional weddings are all good and well, elopements offer an entirely underrated opportunity to focus on the most important aspects of a new marriage. Personal and intentional, elopement weddings are a blast to be a part of! We loved capturing Deborah and Kevin’s intimate elopement photos in Colorado because they made clear what was most important: marrying one another. What’s the Buzz? Most couples want to escape the stress of planning a big wedding and considering family and friends’ opinions and feelings. Elopements allow couples to sidestep all the pressure that comes with planning and just focus on marrying one another. We are big fans of this untraditional wedding route, and we even wrote a blog post about it! Check out, “The Importance of Weddings Photos | Especially for an Elopement” post! Considering if an elopement wedding is right for you? Check out “The Pros and Cons of Eloping” by Sandy Malone! True Love Inside & Out Deborah and Kevin went from a luxury indoor setting at Denver’s Oxford Hotel to an outdoor dream venue at Arrowhead Golf Course. These venues proved the perfect spots for Deborah and Kevin’s elopement photos. The Oxford’s white walls and elegant décor made
One by one and two by two, Kyle and Dan walked down the aisle in complimentary suits, watches, shoes, and smiles. What a joy it was to photograph this University Club Denver wedding. These love birds were everything classy, poised, and wonderfully smitten, and we could not have had a better time! The Venue The University Club of Denver is, we learned, a beautiful space full of cozy lobbies and old-fashioned garb with a classy social club vibe. The venue has grand carpeted staircases and hallways filled with mirrors and glossy lights. Its elevators are as shiny as the watch collection Kyle and Dan proudly displayed. While weddings are a popular event for this venue, the space is great for ballroom events, dinners, and meetings. Furthermore, University Club Denver is located in the heart of the city near all of Denver’s urban attractions. Check out some of our other favorite Denver wedding venues like Traci and Andrew at the Brown Palace or Brianna and Ben at Blanc! Two by Two’s Among stacked bookshelves and reflective wooden floors, Kyle and Dan were two perfect peas in a pod as they celebrated their marriage with their guests. The two grooms’ compatibility was clear not

Now getting to look at art AND having the opportunity to take it home is a million times better! Denver's MCA is hosting an Octopus Initiative. We aren't kidding when we say this is a real thing. The Man concert and MCA's delicious beefsteak dinner. Let us be the first to say that the Octopus Initiative's
No photographer wants his or her subjects to look too staged, so casual and natural is always the goal for portraits. Members of the Stalling family were more than casual and natural – they were one of the most entertaining and lovable bunches we’ve ever had! On a glorious day, we captured their family photos at Wash Park, and we had so much fun! Family Fun! Siblings and cousins, parents and grandparents all huddled closely and giggled with every hug and nudge. While we of course captured some traditional photos of each family with poised smiles, we are never ones to pass up a “silly picture” – or multiple! The sisters nudged and embraced each other playfully, and their cousin even joined the goofiness! Mom and Dad were not afraid to join the fun either, and sweet smiles quickly evolved into outright laughter. Even Grandma and Grandpa proudly cuddled their family. Based on Grandma and Grandpa's genuine smiles, it is clear where the Stalling family got its zest for life! A Picnic in the Park Washington Park, as it turned out, was the perfect November spot for this photoshoot! Not only does this park offer everything from playgrounds to
