We absolutely love capturing special moments-- whether it be weddings, family, or high school senior photos. The proposal took place at Grand Lake and the wonderful autumn aesthetic provided an incredible backdrop for this special moment! We hope you enjoy this surprise autumn engagement at Grand Lake as much as we did! Grand Lake Grand Lake, which is located about thirty miles north-west of Boulder, is known as the "Western Gateway" to the Rocky Mountain National Park -- and for a very good reason! It's absolutely gorgeous, especially around this time of year when the leaves begin to change color. The lake offers all sorts of activities to enjoy all year round. From backcountry skiing and snowmobiling in the winter, to hiking and kayaking in the summer, Grand Lake has a lot to offer! It features over sixty different shops, restaurants, and galleries to explore. Naturally, this makes for a perfect location for a surprise proposal! Congratulations, Anahita and Brandon! Not only are you engaged, but you successfully modeled in downtown Denver like pros. This charming couple asked us to photograph their quintessential Denver engagement photos, and of course we had to say “yes”!!! Love in the City We’ll take any opportunity to boast about and showcase our wonderful city and its attractions. If you’re looking for something modern and urban, but still wonderfully beautiful, Union Station and Millennium Bridge are two of Denver’s most popular sites. We recommend these spots for any photography occasion! Like Anahita and Brandon, many others chose to have their photos taken at these popular spots. Check out Hillary and Justin’s Union Station engagement photos here and Kiki and Ret’s downtown engagement photos here! From January to July! Anahita and Brandon not only looked urbanely chic, but they looked stunning against the bridge’s geometric structure and Union Station’s magical look. Anahita had a wide, bright smile the entire time. Brandon looked happy and hungry for as many hugs as he could get. A few snowflakes even showed up to give a little more magic to the occasion! We could have been in The Polar Express we were so smitten with the

Jeff and Hannah are getting married, and they wanted our help shooting their engagement photos at Red Rocks Amphitheatre! And you know what they say... red (rocks) is for love! On April 28th, 2018, we took a trip to the famous concert, movie, and exercise venue to capture this lovely couple among the blooming spring flowers. Red Rocks Buzz Red Rocks Amphitheater is among one of the most photographed and stunning locations in Colorado, and it’s pretty clear why. Outside Morrison, Colorado, the deep, burgundy rock formations and trails of flowers make the ideal place for sweet photos like these. Plus, the natural lighting is often nearly perfect, and there’s a spot for every kind of picture. Also, Check out Emily and Brendan’s Red Rocks engagement photos here! While these two are easy on the eye and soft on the heart, their stories are beautifully interesting. Hannah and Jeff met while attending college at Ohio State, and they couldn’t have picked a more quintessential Colorado location to showcase their engagement. Jeff played football for Ohio State and continued his football career in Colorado. Hannah, a Pilates instructor, loves her job and looked radiant in her blue dress. While the two
If there’s one thing we do best it's photography in Colorado. We have the tips, the tricks, and the secret spots that people absolutely love! So, when Gianna and Jason asked us to photograph their Lost Gulch Overlook sunrise engagement photos, we had to say yes! Especially since it was a sunrise engagement session (our favorite as of late)! Look Who’s Back – Back Again! Lost Gulch Overlook is one of our favorite locations because it offers numerous landscapes and absolutely breathtaking Colorado vistas for any occasion. Located on Flagstaff Mountain in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, it has mountainous terrain that stretches for miles, catches sunlight just right, and is easily accessible despite its high-up views. Not only are pets allowed, but the entry fee is as little as $5! We love this place so much we’ve even written a Lost Gulch Overlook guide to help you make the most of your session with us! The Whole Package! Not only did Gianna and Jason reap the benefits of this breathtaking location, but their outfits and, well, they themselves, were right on point! Beacause this altitudinous point showcases Colorado’s greens and blues, neutral tones always work well here. Jason’s white and tan combo made him
Question: what’s better than breathtaking Colorado engagement photos? Answer: an engagement session with one of our very own! Corianne, a beloved and past From the Hip studio manager, and her fiancée Kristopher invited us to photograph their engagement photos at Rocky Mountain National Park. Rocky Mountain Fever We love building relationships with every couple or family that we photograph, but it’s even more fun to capture the personalities and quirks of two good friends! These two artistic souls looked practically perfect against this national park’s mountainous vistas and shimmering lakes on a May day. Their love was more than obvious, and their appreciation of Colorado was clear, too! Rocky Mountain National Park’s 415 square miles include alpine adventures galore like trails, wildlife, starry skies, and peaceful camp spots. Its popularity among natives and tourists alike make it one of the most visited spots of our state. Located near Estes Park, Colorado, Rocky Mountain National Park is surely stunning at all times of the year with either walls of snow or swaths of colorful trees. Elegance in every twirl and tenderness in every kiss, Maureen and Andres’ engagement session at Clear Creek Trail was magic fit for a king and queen. These two looked stunning at this park in Golden, Colorado, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day with them. These lovebirds gleamed with joy at the prospect of their coming marriage, and we were happy to capture the moment! Clear Creek Class The Clear Creek trail is a favorite of ours, and one we return to time and time again. This October photo shoot gave us trees of bright yellow and orange. The creek’s water in the afternoon sun gave this couple regal halos and sparkling backdrops that we couldn’t pass up! And while the trail is full of walking trails and very close to the quaint town of Golden, the park is perfect for a photo shoot for any occasion, too. Check out Rachel and Justin’s maternity session at Clear Creek! Two Royal Sweethearts Maureen's long dress and elegant heels made her the most dazzling dancer in all the land. With Andres’ dapper suit and spunky red socks, this pair looked almost more perfect than the stunning Colorado backdrops we captured.
This RiNo engagement shoot was absolutely perfect for our fun and quirky couple, Laura and Shon! Walking the streets of the RiNo Art District will easily brighten anyone's day thanks to the colorful and lively art that fills the neighborhood. RiNo Art District Located in Five Points, just north of Downtown Denver, the RiNo Art District is home to art galleries, studio spaces, and artists of all types. The beautiful murals throughout this district aren't the only things that make this a must-go place to visit. The RiNo Art District has a variety of hip restaurants and bars which make it the best place to explore and try new things. One of our favorite places to visit is Ratio Beerworks which perfectly combines live music and beer for an ideal night out. If you are wandering around RiNo during the day, make sure you go and check out the Denver Zine Library. There you can find over 15,000 zines that you can flip through which will definitely keep you busy! Laura & Shon This loving duo couldn't keep their eyes off of one another during our RiNo engagement shoot. From mimicking murals to sneaking in kisses, both Laura & Shon's
