We're in the midst of a particularly cold winter here in Denver. While the ice and snow make getting to work a little less fun, one upside of the chilly weather is the early opening of many of Colorado's ski resorts. Stephanie and Brian managed to beat both the cold and the crowds at their Beaver Creek Resort wedding late this fall. The crisp fall air was perfect for taking photos outdoors, and it certainly helped that all the aspens had begun changing colors! A Mountain of Activities Beaver Creek Resort is a major ski resort owned by Vail Resorts. The company owns several other ski resorts in the state. Although winter sports are the resort's biggest draw for visitors, the resort hosts activities all year long. Maybe you want to spend the day with a private snowboarding instructor. We might be a little biased, but we believe it's hard to beat Colorado in the summertime. We get low humidity, clear skies, and some of the most incredible views around. These qualities all make Colorado a dream wedding destination. And if you're going to get married in Colorado, why not go all out? That's exactly what Mikal and Andrew did in this mountaintop wedding shoot in Keystone! An Uplifting Experience Most people associate chairlifts with ski trips, not weddings. But Mikal and Andrew aren't like most people, and this isn't like most weddings! Besides, hiking in heels on your special day can be a real drag. The fun-loving couple decided to reach their mountaintop wedding shoot in style. If you ask us, it was worth it. Look at that view! Ages of Affection Having loved ones around is always nice, particularly on a day as important as your wedding. With summer behind us, there is a lot to look forward to with the changing of the seasons. The color of the leaves will turn and we'll begin pulling out our sweaters as the temperature cools. It's a time to relax more and sweat less. While we're excited about Fall, there's much we'll miss about the summer. Today we're remembering one of our favorite summer memories. Classic with a twist? That’s exactly how we would describe Nathalia and Nathan’s Saint Malo’s Chapel wedding. This day was bright and brilliant among every stone, mountain, and corner. Congratulations to the newlyweds! The Classic In addition to having dangerously similar names, this couple’s harmony with one another was nothing ordinary. Somehow they each embellished themselves in personal touches like bowties and red lipstick, yet they fit together as well as the stained glass pieces of the chapel. Saint Malo’s Chapel on the Rock in Allenspark, Colorado, is considered a state landmark not just because of its longstanding history with the Catholic church. This chapel rests at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains like a sleeping giant. The chapel’s stone exterior dating back to 1939 provided earthy, cool backdrops for the happy couple. This wedding swept us right off our feet, and we’re still recovering! Lauren and Phil’s August wedding at Crooked Willow Farms was something out of a Cinderella story, and we never wanted to wake up from this fairytale! With August right around the corner, we thought we'd share last year's August dream wedding we are still not over! A Rustic Venue Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, Colorado will give you the rustic feel and rural location you’re looking for. (Check out the other events we've covered there!). It has a gorgeous outdoor ceremony area with a view of the beloved Rocky Mountains. The indoor space is perfect for a reception where your guests can dance the night away. As expected, Lauren and Phil’s wedding decorations fit right in with this dreamy venue. Hanging lights and mason jars alongside blue tablecloths gave the space a magical vibe for the evening party. Based on some amazing candid shots we got, the guests sure had a good time! Someone put this couple in a Denver magazine! We love photographing breathtaking Colorado outdoors for any occasion. However, every once in a while, it’s nice to have a little taste of the city! We celebrated Traci and Andrew at their downtown Denver wedding at the Brown Palace Hotel, and wow was it incredible! A Denver Dream Laced in gold and with hints of timeless elegance, this wedding was one for the books. Traci and Andrew welcomed family, friends and even their beloved dog to one of Denver’s oldest, most popular event venues. The Brown Palace Hotel proved the perfect spot for everything from bridal party shots to the ceremony. Located in the heart of the city, nearly everything guests might want is within walking distance: restaurants, museums, bars, music, shopping and more!
