Stanley Marketplace, located in the uppermost northwest part of Aurora, used to be a manufacturing facility for military ejection seats. It sits close to the old Denver airport, having doors open directly to a smaller runway where Bob Stanley used to take off and land test planes. The Hangar at Stanley, in particular, had doors large enough for a jet to pass through!
Stanley Does It All
Now, we’ve bragged about a lot of the awesome companies located inside the marketplace like the Denver Biscuit Company, Miette Et Chocolat, Poppy & Pine, Infinite Monkey Theorem, to name a few…but we haven’t bragged about the massive 18,500 square foot Hangar literally ten feet from our studio doors!
That’s right. 18,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space to boogie in or even have a crawfish boil in. The massive space is a venue for parties, business meetings big and small, art galas, weddings, fundraisers, graduations, fashion shows, proms, 80’s themed dance gatherings, concerts, you name it.
Though the building is from 1954, the restoration inside the Hangar at Stanley is jaw dropping. There are massive steel beams, huge wooden wire spools, polished floors, even beautiful windows existing from the 50’s. Not to mention, the big red door that opens onto the Hangar’s patio is an event staple. It immediately adds a bright zest to any gathering!
We’ve been lucky enough to participate in a few photo sessions inside of the space. We’ve collaborated with a ton of local vendors to create something beautiful! But it doesn’t end there. The Hangar at Stanley is the location of many fun upcoming events! If you decide to attend one of the crazy fun things happening next door to us, make sure you stop by and say hi even grab a fox sticker or two!
