A Colorado Summer Ski Resort Wedding

Tucked away in the Rocky Mountains at 11,550 feet, Michael and Aaron said “I Do” to forever in a summer ski resort wedding. We first met this pair for their engagement session, and we had no idea how they were going to top their beautiful engagement session. It’s always fun seeing couples go from engaged to married! Being a part of the marriage train is one of the many reasons we love what we do here at From The Hip Photo.

We Seek Adventure!

We love exploring the stretched of the earth, even the gorgeous places in our backyard! Looking for someone to capture photos while your skiing down the mountain, or hiking to a secluded mountain range, we are down!

With their fondness for the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains and their passion for snowboarding at their favorite mountain resort, Arapahoe Basin’s Black Mountain Lodge was the perfect venue!

Chasing the Light

Michael and Aaron, along with their huggable pup took advantage of the sunlight and adventured with us to capture pictures on the mountainside before their ceremony.

Their wedding was brimming with style, dapper suits, libations, dancing, giggles, tears, and of course— Love. And, as love begets love, all of their friends and family joined in the celebration with elation because the duo’s love is one for the ages. At their summer ski resort wedding, love won once more!

These newlyweds wrapped up their ceremony by planting some beautiful greenery, giving it soil and water to grow and thrive. A perfect representation of their new life together.

Here’s to Forever!

The celebration lingered into nightfall where the unpolluted night sky lit up the surrounding forest terrain. The lodge was the perfect place for their wedding, given that the pair enjoys winter activities. It was obvious that their guests enjoyed the venue as well as seeing two people they adore tie the knot.
