Calling all art super-fans (and aspiring ones) because we have some big news for you! Denver’s Museum of Contemporary Art is doing big things.
Is there anything better than looking at amazing art at Denver’s Museum of Contemporary Art? Surprisingly yes, there is something better. Now getting to look at art AND having the opportunity to take it home is a million times better! Denver’s MCA is hosting an Octopus Initiative. We aren’t kidding when we say this is a real thing.
What is the Octopus Initiative?
So what is this tenticale-vibed, interesting title all about? The Octopus Initiative gives any Denver metro resident the opportunity to take home their favorite works of art created by some of Denver’s best artists. And wait, we have more good news! You can do all of this for FREE.
The Launch Party
It was our absolute pleasure to photograph the launch party for this fantastic initiative. MCA is one of our favorite places to shoot in since there are always amazing events going on. Some past events we have photographed include a secret Portugal. The Man concert and MCA’s delicious beefsteak dinner. Let us be the first to say that the Octopus Initiative’s launch party was nothing short of awesome!
To say this launch party was a success would be an understatement. Dozens of eager people attended, all wanting to learn more about the initiative, the local artists involved and, of course, how they could get their hands on the art!
Because we are #photographersforlife and have an eye for artistic expression, we were dying to attend and capture this event in all its glory. We love it so much we want to spread the word about it on our blog! Another thanks to MCA’s Octopus Initiative for allowing us to photograph their amazing event!
