A candid and joyful family photo session
Our team loves candid seasonal family photos! It’s easy to see why our team had a blast photographing these three energetic and hilarious kiddos as they ran around Stanley Marketplace in Aurora, Colorado. Our photo studio is housed in the bustling marketplace, which is also home to a seasonal Christmas Tree pop-up and Camp Christmas! Taking advantage of the seasonal cheer, we styled a photoshoot to help the Maa family capture sweet winter memories.
All laughs and smiles
It wasn’t hard to get these three siblings playing and joking together so we could capture some candid fun.

Once we captured a few photos of these siblings being playful together, we moved on to photograph each kiddo individually. We loved that this family brought outfits that looked great together without being too matchy. And the red sport jacket and bowtie-suspenders are ridiculously cute!
Exploring the Christmas Tree Lot
Next, the Maa siblings led us on an adventure through the Stanley Marketplace Christmas tree lot! We love capturing a variety of images for family photoshoots, so the family walks away with a variety of memories and candid moments to treasure.

Our photographer incorporated a few seasonal props into these seasonal family photos, including… CANDY CANES! Especially when we’re working with kids, we love adding in distinctive elements for unexpected photos that convey a sense of place within a season.
Finding bright backgrounds for family portraits
Our team always gets creative to find a wide variety of backdrops within the theme of the photoshoot. Exploring Stanley Marketplace, we found lots of colorful walls and murals to photograph the awesome Maa kids.
Jumping photos for the win
Everyone loves a good jumping photo! We focused on capturing the movement and energy of the Maa siblings as they jumped around and played in our studio.
Seasonal Cheer with Sloane & The Nutcracker!
Ballerina Sloane wanted to show off her dance moves with a classic nutcracker doll. We loved this idea because it incorporated a seasonal prop and created so much movement to capture!
One more outfit change
We had a blast photographing as big brother cracked up laughing and let his sister dance in circles around him! As you can tell, no one had any fun in this family photoshoot. 🙂
