Meet the Buntport Theater troupe! We know the team from Buntport through The Narrators. It’s a great monthly storytelling event that the theater hosts on the third Wednesday of every month. We’re very proud to say we’re one of the sponsors of the incredible production! As for the Buntport Theater crew, they’ve created a collection of main stage productions in their incredible black-box theater. For those of you that aren’t familiar with this style of theater, it’s a simple performance space, with a level stage and floor to provide flexibility in arranging and rearranging the stage and seating. Want to see it for yourself? Look at their calendar and get yourself to one of their shows! Of course, being a theater, the troupe is super lively and fun!
We photographed this group just before Halloween, making the colorful dress up theme extra appropriate. Though, for a theater company, dress up is obviously already part of the game! Touring their costume house was so inspiring! And yes, they have an entire space just to collect the multitude of clothes and costumes they have! Immediately we wanted to go and pick out new outfits for ourselves. They were even kind enough to lend one of our photographer’s, Nina, her Halloween costume. She was a mystical unicorn for those of you that were wondering!
There is this great mural wall right by the Buntport Theater in the gallery-packed Santa Fe Art District that we love. So we went through a lot of amazing, absurd, and amazingly absurd ideas to match it. Finally, we settled on this vibrant idea!
There are two outfits that everyone wore. The first is white clothes painted with real paint to match the patterns on the wall. The second look consists of an everyday ensemble the same colors as the wall. Both outfits were aesthetically pleasing when paired with the funky backdrop! We had a blast just goofing around and took many hilarious and awesome photos. Here are just a few from the fun we had!
