Born in Moscow, Russia, Nina moved to the United States at the age of ten after her scientist mother fell in love with her scientist step-dad. She earned her BFA from the prestigious Pratt Institute and then followed that with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art before founding From the Hip Photo.

Nina still paints and is currently working on a series of landscapes featuring her two young daughters. Nina’s love for foxes inspired our adorable fox mascot at From the Hip Photo.

As a photographer, Nina has worked with hundreds of couples, families, individuals, and businesses of all sizes.
