The only thing better than a surprise winter proposal in the heart of the beautiful Colorado scenery is getting engaged with your beloved furry friend by your side! Vanessa was under the impression that her and her longtime boyfriend, Brandon, would be taking photos for their dog’s birthday at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado. However, Brandon got down on one knee in the middle of the photo session, surprising Vanessa by popping the big question! Her parents and their lovable pup were there to witness the beautiful moment. We couldn’t have been more honored to have been a part of this tremendous day.
Given that these two have been dating for five years, none of us were surprised that she said yes! The romantic gesture gave us plenty of candid moments to capture. Vanessa and Brandon are obviously very fun and love to live life to the fullest. We’re very glad we captured a little glimpse of their years of happiness to come!
The snow-dusted flatirons at Chautauqua Park proved to be the best backdrop during the golden hour of sunlight. The setting sun’s long rays cast a beautiful glow on the newly engaged couple, though their cheery smiles still take the cake. We love photographing families, engagements, and weddings in wintery landscapes! And we especially love a surprise winter proposal in the snow!
Brandon is an architect, so by default, he formulated the perfect engagement plan! He proposed with an absolutely gorgeous ring in a rather unique wooden box. Their dog, though seemingly unimpressed, we’re sure is very excited that his parents are engaged! His mom and dad’s love for him and each other is nothing short of magical!
If you’re trying to fit your puppy, or other animal companion, into your special wedding day, there are plenty of ideas circulating the internet. We can all agree when we say we hope their furry friend gets to be the dog-of-honor, best dog, flower dog, or even the dog ring bearer on the couple’s big day!
