Experiencing the change of seasons in Colorado is always a pleasure, but autumn has a unique splendor and energy! The bright fall light bounces off the warm colors well, giving everything a toasty glow. It makes this adorable couple look particularly cozy, that’s for certain! We spent a gorgeous fall afternoon with Alana, Erick, and their two friendly pups in Golden, Colorado taking their Clear Creek engagement photos.
It might be because we live in #BroncosCountry, but Alana’s orange scarf and Erick’s blue plaid button down paired perfectly together! And being dog lovers, Alana and Erick brought their lovable pets along for the photo fun. We’re not too sure if it was on purpose or not, but their harnesses matched Alana’s scarf, which made the colors pop even more. Their coordinating outfits and the autumn foliage made for a perfect family photo! (For more furry friend photo inspiration, check out our Pinterest board full of pet-friendly photo ideas.)
With fall in full transition, the oranges, yellows, browns, and fading greens gave us a great backdrop. The texture on the rustic wooden cabin mingled with changing leaves, drawing more attention to the beautiful couple! Leaves are always fun to jump in, but they’re even more fun to take Clear Creek engagement photos in. By the way, leaves can double as a mini-platform to pose an engagement ring–just look at that beautifully unique ring!
Also, can we just take a moment to look at how cute their pups are? We wish we could rock one brown eye and one blue eye. In all honesty, though, the newly engaged pair stole the show! Alana and Erick were very sweet, fun-loving, and an absolute delight to work with.
As a bonus, we got the opportunity to team up for their snowy winter wedding day in Beaver Creek. Take a look at their wintry wedding blog post to see pictures from their amazing wedding day, which marked a triumphant return to Colorado after having spent their long engagement abroad!
