Is there any better way to beat the summer heat than a summer wedding? We don’t think so. From the warm sunshine, to the love that fills the air, there’s simply nothing that makes us smile more than a summer wedding celebration. That’s why we’re still dreaming of Katy & Corey’s breathtaking summer wedding at Crooked Willow Farms. Their wedding took place on a beautiful, sunny, summer day in Larkspur, Colorado. From Katy’s gorgeous dress, to the beautiful flower arrangement, the day could not have been better.
The Venue
We’re big advocates for Crooked Willow Farms, especially for a summer wedding. So, we were thrilled when Katy & Corey told us that they had chosen this venue for their special day. The lush green grasses, backed by the majestic Rocky Mountains, was the perfect ceremony setting. The 1920’s inspired red barn was perfect for photos of the couple. It provided the perfect pop of dramatic color, and made their wedding photos unlike any other! The second story loft inside the barn was a beautiful second location for strikingly beautiful photos of the couple.
The couple also chose to do a first look, and it could not have been any more beautiful! Corey saw Katy for the first time in the courtyard, surrounded by beautiful flowers. But, no matter how gorgeous the flowers were, they were nothing compared to the beauty of Katy in her wedding dress! The couple was all smiles when they first saw each other, and considering how great they both looked, we can’t blame them!
The Bride & Groom
There’s no question that Crooked Willow Farms is a beautiful wedding venue. The big beautiful barn, the wine cellar, and the flower filled courtyard? We love it. But as beautiful as the venue is, we couldn’t take our eyes of Katy & Corey. The loving looks they shared made it clear that they’re meant to be together. Plus, it didn’t hurt that they looked phenomenal!
Corey was handsome as could be in his blue slacks and vest. But nothing looked better on him than the smile he wore on his face when he saw Katy for the first time in their first look. Katy was beautiful in her strapless, sweetheart gown. The dress was stunning, with a lace bodice and flowing A line skirt that tapered into a flowing train. She accessorized it perfectly with a beautiful sparkling hairpiece and silver shoes, it was almost impossible to keep our eyes of her!
