Plenty of mountains, a winding river, some greenery, and lots of love: the recipe for success. At least in terms of Colorado engagement photography! We lucked out not once, but twice with two perfect backdrops for two beautiful Colorado engagement photography sessions. Eldorado Canyon and Lookout Mountain were stunning on the days we took Cody and Brittany’s photos! We love outdoor engagements in awesome local areas and these sessions were no exception!
Cody and Brittany are both originally from Iowa! We were so excited to have them in Colorado and so incredibly honored to have gotten the chance to work with them. Lucky for us, they were such a joy! As a special treat, they let us photograph them in two separate locations so they could show off Colorado’s beauty to their friends and family back home.
Hands down, our favorite part was capturing all of their playful interactions. You would not believe the amount of giggles these two shared! They were too sweet together, just playing around all day long. Truly a fun duo. We love their genuine joy and obvious affection! Awesome couples like Cody and Brittany are really why we love what we do!
On top of that, the scenic spots Brittany and Cody chose couldn’t have been better. The locations were almost as beautiful as the couple!
Eldorado Canyon is located just outside of Boulder, Colorado. It’s relatively close, but you really can’t tell! The beautiful wilderness provided an intimate escape from busy city living and was the perfect setting for part one of this sweet session.
Lookout Mountain is in Golden, Colorado and was the other setting for this session! Like Eldorado, it’s a retreat from the bustle of the town. The location on top of the mountain had amazing sweeping views and brilliantly colored evergreen trees.
The mountains and local flora created some perfect geometry, with adds a lot of interest to a photo. Plus we just love all those colors! The yellow-green hues of the shrubbery and the bluish grays of the sky and river were so pretty. Our cute couple looked right at home here in plaid and cowboy boots!
While the locations speak for themselves, the beautiful scenery really took a backseat to this couple. Eldorado Canyon and Lookout Mountain might be wilderness havens, but Cody and Brittany stole the entire show. This Colorado engagement photography session was nothing short of a smashing success!
