We visited the west coast to the east coast for Hello Betty. From a birds-eye view, Hello Betty is a seafood restaurant that lies on both coasts of the US. They serve an array of seafood in the freshest form by taking part in sustainable fishing practices. They dedicate their brand to the commitment to being environmentally conscious and support the arts through the amount of vibrancy and artwork shown throughout their space. Aside from taking part in environmental responsibilities, you should check out Hello Betty for the culture they encompass of their coastal surroundings. From the Hip Photo loved taking pictures in such a fun environment! We also absolutely love traveling for shoots in order to further our cultural style differences among destinations!
Expect to be immersed in a gnarly amount of coastal culture while enjoying Hello Betty’s culinary specialties. They are the home to a never-ending amount of vibrancy throughout both of their restaurants. Though both restaurants take place on coasts, Hello Betty uses decoration tools from their surrounding cities. Their California Location includes a light blue and yellow vintage-looking surf van, while the Maryland location includes a white decorative fishing boat. We were able to shoot each location in a distinct way while elaborating on the overall feel they were trying to give off. We are able to do this by focusing on the slight differences in each location. For example, we focused on the skateboards in the MD location and the surfboards in the CA location. We love framing the pictures in a way to encompass the way you would want your business to be perceived.
Taken from their about page, “Hello Betty is a nod to all things surf, skate and snow “board” culture.” You can imagine from West Coast to East Coast, Hello Betty is not the only restaurant that wants to show off the surf and skate culture. Therefore, it is important for us to shoot pictures in a way that will make your establishment stand out. This was not hard at Hello Betty. It was easy to shoot their food to make sure the amount of deliciousness was shown through a screen as much as when we were right in front of it. Their array of vibrant walls and intricate art was fun to shoot. And we were able to capture everything from their team’s headshots to their architecture.
We would love to capture your business as well, so please contact us with any questions. If you are interested in pictures like these, visit our other blogs.

As the snowy season quickly approaches, it is time to get your loved ones together for family photos. This is a fun winter family photo session in Golden, Colorado.
Our team here at From the Hip Photo had one of the best seats in town for Denver Bar & Food Photos with Red Barber. Located in Denver’s RiNo Art District, Red Barber is a rooftop bar retreat with 360-degree views. Serving scenery, cocktails and beer you and your friends can circle around one of their firepits to stay warm. In addition, there are yard games, live music with amphitheater seating, and food with chef grilling appearances.
The perfect place for those who love the outdoors, nature, and art. This garden provides a gorgeous backdrop to an engagement or bridal shoot and family portraits.
