Ever feel like you’re being watched? Maybe a bit of déjà vu? There certainly was no shortage of spooks and scares at ILEA’s ‘6th Sense’ event earlier this month! Hosted at the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, ILEA threw a Halloween party featuring creepy cocktails, snacks, and even a corn-maze! Check out some our photos from ILEA at Chatfield Farms below!
What is ILEA?
ILEA, or the ‘International Live Events Association’, is a “global community of thousands of creative event professionals whose skills, expertise and experience power some of the most recognized and respected live events around the world”. They specialize heavily in educational and collaborative networking events across the globe, which can help bolster local communities and connections.
Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms
Chatfield Farms is a 700-acre native plant refuge and working farm that’s located in southern Jefferson County. The area is a beautiful spot for birdwatching, scenic walks, and for picking up the perfect pumpkin! Chatfield also has a couple of historical buildings; a restored dairy farm and silo from 1918, the 1874 Deer Creek Schoolhouse, and the historical Hildebrand Ranch. Hildebrand Ranch was the location early German pioneers settled at back in the 1860s.
We’ll leave you with spooky quote on this Hallow’s eve …
When hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls. Whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still — that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight!
