You can explore Colorado’s ponderosa-wooded trails and still come back to an urban setting with unbeatable amenities — the perfect mix of a bustling, metropolitan lifestyle and an adventurous, innovative culture- anchored by the mountainous landscape that surrounds it. Amazing vistas and charming mountain towns are what makes these spots amazing for engagement photos in the mountains near Denver.

These are a few of our favorite places that offer great scenic vibes for the adventurous and outgoing couple.
What to Wear and Bring!
Deciding the outfits for engagement photos in the mountains near Denver can be overwhelming. Our best advice – don’t overthink it! Wear something that makes you feel good and something you can be comfortable in. In addition, uou can match with your loved one or choose to wear clothes that complement each other, too! Also, check out this blog we did for an engaged couple in Golden, they really WOW’d us with their outfits. Speaking of what to’s, bringing props can enhance the photos tenfold! You can be a picnic basket, a blanket to wrap yourselves in, or a bottle of champagne. Ultimately, the tip here is to not overthink it, if you love it, bring it, wear it!
Pets, and more deets!
We here at From the Hip Photo love including your fur-babies in your session. If you are interested, check out this other blog we shot in Golden with the couple’s adorable pittie. They add pizazz to the engagement session! The pets can wear a sign about their “hoomans” getting married, or even a save the date. In addition, most places usually allow dogs, as long they’re leashed. Some parks and spots that are popular in the mountains near Denver do require a photography permit. Of course, we will let you know and can add that fee to the session!
The foothills and anything west of Denver are magnificent! Check out this blog on an amazing same-sex engagement Evergreen at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park. It offers seclusion and is a short trip into the backyard of Coloradans. We are always open to other places that you are interested in, we will make it work! These other places can be Eldorado Canyon or White Ranch Open Space Park, it is your call! Above all, we cannot wait to team up with you for your engagement session with your loved one and (hopefully) your wedding!
