For many, spring is a time of rebirth, regrowth, and love. For us here at From The Hip Photo, spring is a time of excitement, as our busy wedding season is only just around the corner: summer! But for Michael and Holly, Spring was a time of celebration–engagement celebration in particular! Not only was their Denver Botanic Gardens engagement among the blooming tulips, it came as aย complete surprise to Holly!

Love In Bloom
We love planning surprise engagements with our clients. It’s always fun stealthily sneaking around beautiful overlooks, hiking trails, even tree nurseries! This time around, we got to walk through the Botanic Gardens in Denver, completely engrossed in the springtime flowers blooming. The theme of love and growth was abundant, watching these two lovebirds relish in their newly-engaged bliss among the blooming tulips!
The flowers added a nice pop of color, but they paled in comparison to Michael and Holly’s smiles. One of our favorite settings (among many) in Denver’s Botanic Gardens is the Science Pyramid! The inside is full of cool interactive technology, teaching its users all about the steppe regions. However, it also provides a perfect backdrop for a newly engaged couple!
The green foliage was aplenty, as were excited giggles and unabashed simpers! Some of out favorite pictures were of the couple outside of the green, glass building. Not to mention, the greenery around them seemed extra green when contrasted with their chic gray outfits.ย The way Michael looks at Holly made us swoon! Plus, the excitement from Holly kept the engagement photo session incredibly fun!
Botanic Gardens engagement sessions are always beautiful, no matter the season. What makes them all the more gorgeous though is sharing them with such adorable couples like Michael and Holly! Congratulations to these two, and thank you for including us in this big stepping stone in your life together!
